2000 S4 P Code: P0741 "Torque Converter Performance or Stuck off"

This means what... That the clutch is out?

Anyone have a similar problem and what did you find as a viable and cost conscious solution?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!

I take it, your car is a TIP? Your TC is going bad. You might get lucky, & just change the fluid in the trans & be ok.
