Default 2002 Audi A4 1.8 Short Shifter

I've looked into buying a short shifter for my2002 Audi A4 1.8Tand have found prices all over the board. My car is a 5 speed and the average price seems to be around 150-300 dollars for a high-end short shifter. I've also looked at Ebay and found shifters for 30-80 dollars and am wondering if anyone has tried out the cheaper models. I don't race in competitions but do push my audiand don't want a sloppy short shifter that feels like it's from toy's R us.....or even worse bust in half. Also, is there a difference between the B5 and B6 shiftermodels? Any input on 2002 Audi A4 1.8T 5-speed short shifters would be greatly appreciated.

Here'san Ebay page I looked at:

Default RE: 2002 Audi A4 1.8 Short Shifter

I have a neuspeed short throw and love it. The throws felt about 75% shorter (even though they don't claim that much) and it replaces the whole "hip" joint the shifter arm sits in. It feels better than new did as far as how tight and crsp the shifts feel. The factory "hip" joint is plastic where as the neuspeed one has metal bushings. What you are looking at require dissasembling the shift mechanism where as the neuspeed replaces the whole assembly making it much easier (8 screws). Many people have used the ebay kit and have been happy with their results though.
