Default 2004 Allroad Electronic Stabilization Program

I need to change all 4 of my brake hoses and want to bleed the entire system (new fluid). Anyone know how I can tell what ESP I have. It is either: ESP 5.3 or ESP 5.7. There is a difference in the way the system gets bled !!

They type of ESP system shouldn't matter on the bleeding aspect. Just use the recommended DOT brake fluid (I think they are DOT4. Do NOT mix DOT3 and DOT4). If you have access to pressure bleeder, it'll make the job MUCH easier though. Be sure to evacuate as much nasty fluid as you can from the reservoir with a suction device (turkey baster works good here) as you can.. Refill with fresh fluid and commence bleeding. Remember NEVER let the fluid in the reservoir get down below the MIN mark. I can suck air into the master cylinder and be a bitch to get out if you're using the pedal pump method. One-man bleeders work pretty well too.
