2007 Q7 4.2 etc & check engine light on
My car is a 2007 Audi Q7 4.2
I have taken my car to 3 shops including the Audi dealer.
My car has loss of power, rough start, and goes into limp mode after driving for 15 minutes.
First shop charged me $500 and told me it was the battery. That was a lie.
They were truthful and told me they didn't know the problem and advised I take it to the Audi dealer.
I took it to the Audi dealer they told me it was the right and left side high pressure fuel pumps had failed. They tried charge me $1400 parts and labor.
I ended up purchasing the parts from parts.com for $300 cheaper and had a cheaper Audi specialist install the fuel pumps and still have the same problem with the same lights coming on.
Has anyone else had this same problem?

Pull the codes from the ECU and post them. Without them it could be anything. have you checked the spark plugs lately. See my post below about "glazed" plugs. I went through some of the same thing (fuel pump replacement) trying to fix it. It was the damned spark plugs all along.
