Default 97 A4 1.8t

Well im growing up now so i sold my honda and my 96 a4 5-speed and and thinking of settling for a 97 a4 1.8t with a simple automatic tranny w/o the triptronic option. i just need someting that the cops wont follow around too much. i have experience only with the 2.8 motors and honda stuff. anybody know if a a4 1.8t would be a good buy on which i could do my own work.

Sure the 1.8t isn't that hard to do your own work on. Most issues with it have been addressed here in the forums. How come you don't want a manual again? Auto is so boring.
