Recently had to have the turbo replaced in my 97 A4 Quattro. Radio was in SAFE mode when I got the car back. I looked in the manual and followed the directions to reset the code that I have. It did not work. I put in the 4 digit code and hold FM1 and DX and it blinks safe. After 2 tries it locked up and I left it on for an hour. Tried again and no luck. Any suggestions?

 

I had the same problem in my 2000 A4. I took it to the dealer and they told me i have to pay 50$ for the code. So they tryed to unlock it with the code they had. The code they had was same as mine. Unit did not unlock. They told me i need to buy another unit. 765$. SO i looked on the net and found one for 125$. If you tryed the code more then 3 time is locked for good. You will need a new one. Dont take my word that it an Audi dealer. Good luck.
