The car has 187k miles on it and is new to me, and being a girl, I really have no idea where to start. The 2nd day after I bought it the fuel pump went out. (or so the shady mechanic said, prob no gas since gague does not work) So I put a used then a new fuel pump on. It has ran a little rough b/c of exhaust problems but overall it was ok. noticed when low on gas it would hesitate a lot.
Ok, scenerio.... exiting interstate I loose power steering and can smell the fluid. pulled over let it settle and had to drive 20 miles home. on the way the radio would go off if i turned headlights on, but aside from no powersteering it drove ok. made one stop and shut engine off, but was afraid to. drove about 7 more miles home and just before my house it died and would not ever start back up. it has the clicking noise when I try. does this sound like a mountain of things all at once. i cant afford much and would really like some advice on what to even have checked.
