Hi just wondering if any1 can help, took my a3 tdi s line to the garage, sensor has gone in the gearbox, may need new mantronics. looking at getting a new gearbox. mine has a code of BKD - GYN. just wondering if there is any other gearboxes which will match my car? or does it have to be the same?

 

I dont have any proof or idea if this will work just a hunch, but Id gamble and say the box from the VW jetta sportswaggeen is the same gearbox.

Ive never worked on either car though so its just a hunch, that might be total B/s
