Default A3 rear light bulb replacement

Hi

I've just become a member of this forumtoday.

I have a 2004 A3 TDI sport and need to replace the rear light bulb. I've managed to remove the plastic circular cap on the inside of the boot/trunk, and remove the long plastic holding screw to release part of the light cluster. However, the light unit appears to be held on on the the other side by another screw fitting (on the wheel arch side)...

Can anyone tell me how to get to this and release the unit and if there are any problems in changing the light bulb itself??

Apologies if this question has been asked numerous times before, though I couldn't find anything related to it when I searched.

Thanks in advance!!

Default RE: A3 rear light bulb replacement

pull it towards the back of the car
theres two pins holding it in place

basically stand behind the car, and pull towards you
it will work
im almost positive this is how its held on
