This is my first time posting a topicso I hope I'm doing it right. I have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro. The armrest in the front is stuck in the upright position and I can't get it down. Anybody have the same problem or any helpfulhints.</P>

You mean the armrest cover is stuck upwards, or the entire unit is stuck upwards?

 

You should have a button across the front of the entire armrest; press the button in and then the armrest will go back down.

 

I had the same problem a while back with my 2000 A4. Check the hinge for anything that could be preventing it from moving . In my case a penny had lodged in the hinge.
