The timing belt on my 2003 A4 Quattro broke yesterday. I was only doing about 25mph. Does anyone think I did some kind of internal damage to the engine driving that slow?
How catastrophic do you think that is? Should I just replace the engine? I've gone to a few shops, called others and they keep telling me in going to need a new engine.
I'm being told I have to remove the freon from the A/C system to get the timing belt replaced.... What does the timing belt have to do with the a/c? is this true?
