I have an A6 (07) and wanted to replace the following bulbs with leds. The sidelights, reversing lights, stop n tail and number plate bulbs at least.

I have heard that they may not work.....sumthin bout the system not recognisng them as they draw so little power and you'll get a bulb out warning message and possible cause problems.

Can anyone offer any advice that either has knowledge and or has done the job on a car this age?

Hi Jim,

I have a 2007 A8 to which I have just had fitted to my front sidelights, by my local Audi dealer, some canbus safe LED 501 replacements from eBay. My Audi dealer spent an hour trying to stop the error message showing but could not stop the problem.
I too would be interested to find a decent supplier of LED replacements that will work, I believe that there is something different about the warning system of audis from 2005.
