As the title says on my 2002 A6 Avant when I switch the headlights on the 2x temperature displays, fan display and button lights all go out, switch the headlights off and they all come back on.
Anyone any ideas to what the problem could be ???

Well I have a friend with an A6 She said that for some reason her center display would work intermittenly, espically on cold start ups etc. The dealer told her, During cold weather the car will shut off lighting in the car to save the battery, Cold weather decreases battery life and until the battery can come back up to par, it wouldn't turn itself back on. The car is basicly extreamly smart. Just a thought, espically if you are using your headlights which take a lot of battery, Maybe your battery is wearing, check it out, I don't know if this compairs with your exact situation but good luck.
