Hi,

I have 2006 A4 that has a crazy AC system. First it starts normal and cools the car as it should. At that point I can easily switch from "Auto" to "Econ" and back with no problem.

But, after some time the car starts switching from "Auto" to "Econ" by itself and won't let me switch back from "Econ" any more. In "Econ" mode the AC is shut down and I have to face the heat...

Somebody told me that it could be due to low levels of freon in the system... any other suggestions?
