I have an audi a3, 2002, 1.6, engine code AVU, it starts and runs fine but the MOT tester was unable to maintain a steady RPM for the emissions test as when you touch the throttle the engine revs on its own up to 5000 rpm with no control inbetween, so far I have changed throttle pedal,intake trunking, lambda sensors, cleaned and sealed all intake joints the local garage has suggested changing the crank position sensor....does anybody have any experience of this fault or ideas to cure it
