my air bag light is on.. the car has not been in an accident.. how can i shut it off??

if i take it to the dealer will they charge me?

Yes the dealer will always charge you unless you are under warranty. Usually it light illuminates because of faulty wiring connections. The primary cause is under the drivers side seat. Check all of the wiring and consider spraying the connectors contacts with an electrical contact cleaner (can be found at radioshack).
