Hi guys,

I know that people have made posts regarding this in the past but i thought id make a new post regarding this problem i am expereincing(looking for a more tailor made answer i guess).

So my girlfriend has a 2001 Audi A4 2.0 T . The car was sent in to an Audi stealership earlier this year for repairs due to a break down. They replaced the Ignition coils, engine speed sender, crank case breather and fixed a vacum leak. A day after that repair the car started to have a bad sputter under acceleration and almost no power up inclines. We did not return the car to Audi because we live 400 KM from the dealership. Anyways. I have recently changed the MAF sensor with no improvement. For the last week i have had the vehicle at a Mechanic who had scanned the car for error codes and have checked its parameters. Nothing has shown up though. He suspects it could possibly be contaminated fuel, so tomorrow i will drain all the fuel out and refill it.

Can you guys possibly give me your opinions/ ideas on what i could look at?

 

Run some of that fuel out into a container to examine it. Any water/crap will quickly collect in the bottom of the container.

With no codes being thrown by the ECU, it would be hard to tell. I'd lean toward crap in the gas first. You may try new spark plugs just to be sure if they haven't been replaced already.

 

I removed the fuel pump and cleaned it out properly, the car is now almost 80% better. Going to put in new spark plugs and fuel filter today+clean all electrical connections.
