Default Audi A4 MMI and I-Phone 3GS Snyc Problem

Hi All,

This is my first post, so here goes...

I have a 2010 Audi A4 Avant Quattro and I use an I-Phone 3GS both in and out of the car. I brought the Audi charging cradle, so it sits in the central arm rest and for the first 6 months, it's worked fine.
Lately it started not updating missed calls and now it no longer syncs with my I-Phone Phone Book. When I say it no longer syncs, it goes through all the motions, but it always ends up displaying an incomplete phone book and a set of missed, dialed and received calls from about 6 weeks ago.
I have tried re-setting the MMI Phone Book to default, i.e clearing it, and then re-syncing, but always it ends up loading up the same set of missed calls, dialed calls, etc.
If I miss a call when I'm driving, it doesn't show that call on the MMI.

I booked it in at my Audi dealer after explaining the problem and their response when I turned up was......The Audi MMI and Apple I-Phone 3GS / 4 aren't compatible....funny that....when you consider ...

1) They sold me a charging cradle for the I-Phone 3GS
2) It's worked perfectly for 6 months
3) We have 4 Audi's on our fleet, all of similar age and all running the 3GS with no problems...

So any ideas ?, I'm running Apple 4.3.1 firmware and I wondered if that's the problem, cept everyone else in my company is and there's no problem.

Any help / suggestions, gratefully received...
