Audi Service royal screw up

Audi Service royal screw up
Just bought a new A3 TDI in Oct. Yesterday, took it in for its first oil change at 5000 miles. Today, the low oil pressure and oil light came on - turns out the service department forgot to tighten something (filter? plug?). Drove about .6 miles and safely pulled off the road. A3 is at the dealership, but it was afterhours, so I'll see them on monday.
Two questions:
1 - Will there be any damage? (drove .6 miles after the light came on)
2 - Should I ask the dealership for compensation of some sort? if so what? I was thinking extended warranty coverage, but dont know how that would be done.
I figure they will try to deny any culpability, but what do you guys advice I do when I go see them?
