Hi.
The air mass meter sensor is a common fault and when they fail it can give you similar symptoms. Try unplugging it and then testing the car.
The ecu will use a default mass air flow figure.

If you look to the right of the engine, the rectangular airbox (filter housing) has a pipe coming off it which is part of the air mass meter. It has an electrical push on connector. It's possible but not always the case that it will bring the engine light on.

The boost pressure sensor is also a possible cause. It measures the amount of charge pressure being generated by the turbo and informs the engine ecu. Try cleaning it.
