Default b6 overheating

Hello everyone,
I have a 2004 audi a4 1.8t and recently when I go over 65 mph my car starts to heat up towards the 3/4 line but if I let off the gas and keep the car at 60 holds temp like a champ. Ive searched and came up with water pump or thermostat. I do have heat. I just wanted someone else input to make sure im heading in the right direction and didnt over look anything before ordering parts. I have 133k miles on it. I was told the tb and wp was all done at 100k but I really dont know. Is it possibly a water pump could fail after 34k? Thank you for all your input.

Have you tried flushing the radiator?

I would be more suspicious of a faulty thermostat, the water pump is relatively new.
