I have an a4 quattro 1.8t automatic. b6 model.

I'm thinking I have bad tranny mounts. IT is the tiptronic so therefore there would be 2 tranny mounts of course. But here's my symptoms...

Idles Rough/Shakes when in drive/reverse Idles smooth when in park/neutral

From what I can tell the car seems to drive perfectly fine no problems. no clunking no rough running or vibrations.

I popped the hood and looked at the engine while someone but it in park reverse/drive ect, and I noticed that engine did indeed tilt forward and backward when shifting reverse/ drive. Is this normal?? it looked like it would move about 1/2 inch in both directions at the most. No side to side movement so i'm assuming motor mounts are all good and well.

Any thoughts?
