Default Break Warning Symbol - HELP -

I need a wee bit of help on this one: So the brake warning symbol started to appear on my display a few days ago - This being the yellow (O) symbol and I get it when I first start the car and depress the break pedal. Happens every time.

SO, I figure I need to replace the breaks, cause they are about due. - I do this and yeah the pads are pretty warn, though I've seen worse. Either way I put on new pads and rotors, bleed the breaks and make sure the fluid is topped off. The new breaks feel great

BUT I'M STILL GETTING THE WARNING SYMBOL. Battery is strong and there seems to be no other issues.

Any ideas of what to check next?

I'm kinda at a loss.

Thanks in advance.

yeah, I checked the sensor connectors. Could be a faulty pad I suppose, just seems unlikely.

I was wondering if anybody knew if those sensor circuits are normally open or normally closed. I was thinking perhaps a wire was broken near the connector as they are somewhat exposed. Does anybody know?

( I was more hoping someone would say "Oh yeah, that happens all the time. You just need to ......" )

I assume it's normally closed, so when the pad wears, it breaks the connection.
