ok so i own a 93 audi 90 quattro and the engine is done 211k runs strong but smokes burns oil like nobodys business. so ive been looking for engines and ive come across a few in the $700 to $1000 range with an avg of 80k, some are cheaper and less mileage but dont specify on engine condition. but they are from either 94 or 95 audi 90's or 94 to 95 audi a6's. some are fwd,auto some awd manual. my 90 is a 5spd mode, my question is will some of these newer engines work with my setup like without having to get the whole wire harness and ecu and trans just looking for something that bolts right up and is plug and play. all the engines i come across for my model year just have too many miles.

any info would greatly be appreciated. im located on the border or ny and ct if theres anyone out there that would be willing to do the swap for me, or knows someone that may be able to help please get in touch with me. mechanically inclined would be great if i could help but i wouldnt dare get involved in something i know very little about. just a recipe for disaster would really be great if i could find someone whos familiar with the car and can help me get her back to good running condition.
