Default cat converter

Im new so this might be a stupid question

03 1.8t
Have a Remus Exhaust on now, but was thinking of removing the cat converter and just having a "straight pipe" directly to the remus .. Is there any benefit to doing this, and will it cause me any trouble.

I just dont think the Stock Cat is good enough???

P.S. not woried about Emissions, or inspection sticker,

thanks for any help

You could always do the "No-CEL" DIY in the DIY section.

And they won't egg your car, they would do something more environmentally friendly like ram your car with a solar powered golf cart.

removing the cat is simple but you need to leave both sensors in the system otherwise it will throw a fault code (you could tie the precat sensor above the heat shield but still connected) but when it comes to emissions it will fail the test
