Default CD Err 2

Hi, I'm new to the forums... My girlfriend has an Audi a4 2.8. She has a 6 disk changer installed in her trunk which i thought was stock if I remember correct. I didn't get a good look at the problem yet, but I know that when she tries to play a CD through the head unti, "CD Err 2" is displayed. The disk changer won't light up, or eject her CD's. I'm gonna start testing to see if it's getting power. Does that sound right? or did it go into some sort of lock down mode because something wasn't functioning right... thanks in advance for any help... :-)

Try unplugging and plugging in the cd changer.

You may also want to try one of those cd lens cleaners.

A bad cd or tribeam reader might cause the err code but it not ejecting sounds like a bad unit or debris got into it or the cord or dongle have become seperated.
