RE: 99 a6 brake pads....HELP PLEASE
Not all that hard. If you dont have a good brake piston compression tool go get one. A simple one for the front will run $20 and the kit for the rear might get up around $50 unless you know the notch pattern you need. The front pistons will compress straight in but the rear have to be pressure rotated sounds more complicated than it is. Make sure the front pads are oem you will need the computer wires to connect the computer. also a small and I mean small flat head screwdriver to push in down and up to release the old connector. Othe rthan that they are pretty much the same as any conventional brakes. Make sure you have a good quality wrench to loosen the caliper bolts if it has been a while I sheered my downsizing socket the last time on the back because they go about 80k mi. lastly on the front calipers use a strong screwdriver to pull back the tension bars and if they pop out dont freak they go back in easily. Good luck! If you need more details Ill try to help but if this is a first time changing the brakes try to get someone who has done brakes to help you!
