CEL came on yesterday. Car doesnt seem to be running any differently. Went and got the code and its

P0118- Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input

I dont know jack about cars and I wont pretend to. The guy at autozone didnt know what it meant either. My temp gauge in the dash is reading fine and isnt doing anything goofy. Anyone know what this could be and how i can fix it?

audi extended its coolant temp sensor warranty to 100k miles.

aslong as the fault is solid and not sporadic... which means after you delete it, it comes back. the dealer will replace it for free. but depending on your dealer. they might even change it even if the code is sporadic
