Crank Position Sensor?

Crank Position Sensor?
I am having a problem with my 2001 Allroad (2.7T, 6spd). In the hot weather it doesn't start right away. I have to either crank it for 15-20 seconds before it finally starts, or sometimes I have to wait a few minutes after the first attempt and then it will start right away. I was told that it is common for the Crank Position Sensor to fail causing these symptoms. Does anyone know where the CPS is on the 2.7T or if it is something that could be easily swapped as a DIY in my own garage?
Any help is appreciated!
