Im hearing a popping/grinding on the rear driver side wheel. I am replacing the rear wheel bearings, but was told that the cv joint also needs replacing. 2001 S4, does anybody know how long its supposed to take to replace it, or if anybody has done it, how hard it is? Thanks in advance.

It should be about an hour additional labor from the bearing. Half of the shaft must be removed to get to the bearing. So all you have to do is replace the joint.
