i want to change out my bad combination switch, after my hi & lo beams stopped functioning... i was told that the steering wheel must be removed? I was wondering if anyone has attempted this i figured it was a DIY.

Begin by using the steering wheel to align the two front wheel is the "straight ahead" position. Then disconnect both cables from the battery. Wait at least ten minutes to assure that the Safety Restraint System (air bag system) has been disabled.
