Hi,

I own an A6 Q 97 and a 1990 Talon. I'm thinking of using one of the rims from the Talon (steel) for my spare (so I could have a full size spare). They both take 205/55/16. But I'm not sure about the bolt pattern. Does anyone happen to know if this would work? Would be nice to have a full size rim in case I'd get a puncture in middle of my trip back (2100km) to Halifax from Toronto.

pop a rim and try. i don't think the bolt patterns will match
American to German.
A full size spare is always nice, y not try a salvage yard for an audi rim.
i am sure they are available.

No, it will not work. The Talon has a bolt pattern of 5 x 114.3 where the Audi is 5 x 112. Sorry.

^^^ Dido, I had the same idea too, being I have 3 sets of extra talon/eclipse/laser rims sitting around with great Z or ZR rubber on them [:@]

technically you could get the rim resealed and redrilled but by the time is all said and done, unless you can weld and press drill yourself, you might as well buy an audi wheel at a junk yard.

Onto the same style question, are all audis (back a few years pre 98 that is) the 5x112? So when I am junk yard diving next weekend, so I might find me som treasures.... (what about comparable year VWs?)
