Default down pipe too big?

Hello everybody.. Yes as u may kno already I am new on here.. Well I just purchased a b6.
Well the previous owner installed a 3"dp all the way to the middle of the car and magna flow 2.5 y pipes. Now my thing is isnt a 3"dp too big for it.. My 4th gear is bad I feel no power, is this due the size of the dp? (car is completely stock)
Thanks for your help.

Well, almost completely stock...

the 1.8T is a pretty weak engine until you mod it. A chip and DV is where to start. The DP isn't hurting you, but with a stock tune, it isn't helping either.

Welcome to the forums.

Well yea almost stock.. but yea ur absolutely right.. Im goin witb giac for the reflash installing tt injectors aswell. As far as dv. Im going with stock 911turbo. Not too loud but does the job compared to some aftermarket ones out there.. Hopefully down pipe pays off.

FYI, there is a group buy for speedtuning over in the B5 section right now, and they said they would do B6's as well. A chip for 130 bucks is hard to beat. Just thought you would be interested.

it will fit, you just have to bend that small metal brace that runs across the car..

I think he thinks you're asking if the 3" TP is too big to be physically installed, not too big that it's affecting your performance.

let me make this to clear, some guys on here are only called "noobs" because we are new to the forum, that does not mean we dont know anything or if a 3" dp will actually fit.
