Can anyone tell me how to reset the ECU on Audi A6 1.9Tdi

Default Erased learnt values

When you say reset I prosume you mean erase lernt values e.g your style of driving is recorded do you only like to use half the throttle and pull away slowly or use full throttle and have the car being responsive. To erase the values you need diagnostics and you go into engine 01
adaption 10
channel 00
This will erase the learnt values inthe engine control unit if your car is multitronic it is also worth erasing the learnt values in the gearbox same procedure but you go into
gearbox 03
Once you have erased the learnt values race your car about for the next 15 min and it will store your new style of driving and make a more responsive engine and gearbox.

You can also disconnect the battery or ecu for an hour or so. It will dump everything.

Isn't there a certain fuse you can pull, rather than disconnecting the battery? In mt old car there was an ecu fuse, which I used to reset the ecu.

Never heard of that one. Don't think there is an ECU fuse.

i dont think there is a ECU fuse, i dont think the ECU would need one really

Well I used to reset my ecu all the time in the tubby by yanking the fuse out. It was even labelled as such on the fuse cover. The ecu is obviously electronic, so there must be a certain fuse you can pull, for 30 seconds, or an hour, or so, to reset the bugger...
