The main electric cooling fan has a high pitched screaming whine when it runs on my 1999 A6. Is this common? Anyone know what can be done to silence it? I tried spraying it with WD40, and it quiets it for a few days, and then it starts right back up again. Any ideas are appreciated.

Replace it
