Default Engine Code 16395

My engine light came on today so I ran a scan and this came back:

16395 - Bank 1: Camshaft A (Intake): Retard Setpoint not Reached (Over-Advanced)
P0011 - 002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - Intermittent

I have not had the timing belt replaced (I have seen that question asked previously). I am looking for any possible reasons for the light, what to look at, what a possible fix could be, etc.

Thank you for your time.

It could be caused by a worn timing belt tensioner.
Does it idle smoothly?

I had a new tensioner put in probably last year but I think it was the serpentine tensioner. That wouldn't have anything to do with it would it?

It idles fairly smoothly but I do feel some rough spots from time to time. There is also a very light rattle over by the air filter somwhere (been there for a while and can only hear it when I have the hood open)...between that and the engine block. Wondering if that might be a cam or?

Thanks crazyhawk

No the serpintine belt tensioner wouldn't have anything to do with it. Pop off the upper timing belt cover by swinging those two little hoses over the valve cover, then un-clip the cover. Try twisting the timing belt, you shouldn't be able to twist it 90*. If its loose, get timing belt and water pump done ASAP.

Anything else I can look at that possibly might point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Well if its ok then just erase the fault code and see if it comes back. Its an intermittent code so it might just be a fluke.

What do you mean by an "Intermittent Code"? I just pulled the same code today and I'm trying to figure out what to do (besdies suicide)...
