Hi, i'm new here. I have a problem with an A6 2.0l 16v 1996. The thing is that the engine won't start. I have verified that i don't have fuel flow in the injectors but i can't find out if it is a problem with the fuel pump or the ecm. Has anyone had the same problem? suggestions?

Turn your car on and see if you here the fuel pump turn on to pressurize if not check power and grounds to the pump. You may want to check the fuel filter if it has not been changed for sometime.

 

I have checked first the fuel filter but it wasn't. After i removed the cover of the fuel tank and checked if there was power to the fuel pump and it was ok. I removed the fuel pressure regulator and found that the fuel pump didn't run anymore. I realized then that to remove it i will have to remove the fuel tank to get that damn pump out of there to put in a new one (380€) :-(
