Default EPC ERROR ON DASH

Hello, I just bought a 2000 S4 6 speed.... And love it!!!! That being said. Has anyone had the EPC light light up at start up? If so what was fixed? Any information regarding the ELECTRONIC POWER CONTROL will be greatly appreciated... Even better, what does the EPC control?

Thanx, HG

Basically its the light for electronic throttle. There is no cable between the trottle and the gas pedal like on older cars. Just a bunch of wiring. Faults in the system can be accesed in the engine electronics. Many lights are supposed to come on at startup and then go out. As long as it goes away after a few seconds i wouldnt worry about it.
