Front Seats NOT Heating
Hi,
what could be wrong when my both front seats won't heat my *** and my back? 1996 Audi A4 2.6 V6 Quattro, original black smooth leather seats, electronics intact, no changes made to it.
First, the driver's one stopped working completely (*** and back heating), few months later the co-driver's one went completely bad (nor *** neither back heating works, bothstopped working atthe sametime) and therefore I'm afraid my girlfriend's peach is going toget cold and sickwhen I'll be quattro-hitting snowy roads here in winter. Of course it's impossible to say it exactly right off the bat, but what could be one ofpossible problems? A fuse, cracked cable, bad contactor can the heating unit inside ofa seat go bad, and in what manner? How doesseat heating work, to better understand the problem? In what order shoul I check to find out what's wrong with it? I'llappreciate any clues...
Thanks,
Brian

RE: Front Seats NOT Heating
I think you already anwered your own question, could be a fuse...probably not though because there is 1 fuse for both seats, a broken wire, bad connection, or the element inside the seat could of failed... most of the time it seems as the the elements like to fail, although normally when you see that it produces sparatic heating first only back or only bottom.
