Default Fu*king DSG Gonna cost me! ADVICE PLEASE!!!

Hi,

I have an Audi A3 2005 2.0 TDi DSG - 140,000 miles

It has been juddering of late and the mechanic says that the gearbox is on its way and needs replacing at a cost of £1500-£2000.

Is this normal? I paid £4700 from a private seller 5 months ago and looks like I've been mugged off! Am I better off at cutting my losses and getting rid of the car or getting it fixed. Can I get it repaired at a cheaper cost? Any recommendations?

Thanks for anyone that replies.
Craig.

Under what conditions are the judderings you feel taking place? Acceleration? Deceleration? Cornering under load? Part-throttle? Hammering the M5, weaving in & out, pretending your ME?!?!?!

Moar datas needed

You still experiencing these issues?? Have you got it resolved? Do you find its when the car gets hot?
