Hi my fuel gauge on my audi a4 p reg is constantly reading empty. then my car broke down a few weeks later and it needed a fuel pump replacing which i did and the car was fine again but my gauge was still not working.Can any1 tell me if the petrol pump should have a float on as the old pump i took off dident and the new 1 i put on dident. but i have been told that the float could of broken off and when i put the new one in, that pump could have been the wrong 1.
any help would be great.
