Default Grinding noise 1998 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro Manual.?

Hey guys I have been having a problem with Audi. I have a grinding noise that seems to be coming from front left wheel when I move the car. This only happens when I first move the car after it s been turned of for a while. After that it does not make the noise again. The noise happens when I when I start moving slowly in first gear. It makes the noise for less than a second. The sound can be compared to having a set of keys on a keychain and slowly shaking them to hear that metal rattle. What can it be? I just recently changed the front left cv joint to see if it was that and the grinding noise is still there. Like I said it only does it on first when I first move the car after it s been turned off for a bit after that when I m in stop and go traffic or whatever else it does not do it. What can it be?

Could be the wheel bearing. Not an easy replacement unless you have a large press. But usually a wheel bearing will start to make helicopter type sound or roaring sound at speed.
