Hey all,

I have a 2017 Q7 3.0L and recently I took it to replace the waterpump. Had a leak and it was consuming coolant. Two days after, I’m driving on the freeway, out of nowhere it starts beeping that’s running hot, I look at my temp, and it’s on red! Pulled over immediately and shut it off. Popped the hood, nothing, didn’t see anything, coolant level is full, didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Wait a few minutes, started it back up, temp halfway and stayed that way until I got back home (10 minute drive). The car sat there for days, I decided to go take a look again, tried to take the coolant reservoir cap off, for the life of me I couldn’t, and I NEVER tighten it that much. Eventually I was able to take it off, but again nothing. Last night I tried going for a drive at night, within 1-2 miles it went from completely cold to the temp halfway. Something is up and the shop is not helping 🙄

Any thoughts? Please help out. I got a kid in the hospital and going through a tough time with him and economically 😞
