I have a 1998 1.8T VW Passat. I have to jiggle the steering wheel and key to insert the key into the ignition switch. Once turned to start car the starter motor keeps turning unless I move the key slightly to the left then the starter stops turning. Drives ok until I put my foot down then engine misfires, all this started happening at once. I suspect I cooked something while driving before I figured out the starter hadn't disengaged.



Any ideas?
