Dave, as much as I hate to admit it (because most newb just say "I have a noise, what is it? And, you were nice enuff to actually tell us important info like m/y, eng size, and so on...), we're gonna need more info. What you call a "wearing " noise cud be considered squealing or grinding by somoeone else. You're going to hafta be a bit more descriptive. Do this, get a tube from a christmas papaer-roll, or somethoing similiar, and stand in front of teh engine, when your mate cranks it up, for you. Try, as many times as it takes, to pinpoint, as best as you're able, WHERE teh noise seems to be comming from. Take a pic with your phone, if you lack teh vocabulary. You DO have a camera phone, doncha, Dave? And, use more verbs when describing the noise, OK?

Everybody calls me "Jazz." I was serious about the process of narrowing down the location of the noise, BTW. It would help us to help you.

I think dave is upset. He probably didn't have a mate, or a cell phone, or even a wrapping paper roll.... thanks for rubbing it in. lol
