i have an 01 a4 and whenever i put the windows down there is a horrible screeching noise...does anyone know how to get rid of it? or at least lessen the earsplitting sound of fingernails on a chalkboard

 

i get the same thing but only when the car is dirty... so i think the car is telling u to wash it lol

 

it does it all the time and i wash it usually once or twice a week

do you have tints? that sometimes does it

my car does it only for a few weeks out of the year when my big *** tree drops sap all over my car [:@], once i wash it it goes away

you can probally just replace the window linings, that's probally the problem

 

nope its not tinted and it does it all the time...even right after i wash it...its really annoying

 

mine too, unsolved as of yet. It IS horrible
