Have a 2002 A6 3.0. Not driven two years. Fired right up. Looking into engine compartment, top left had mice nest. They ate some kind of filter. Can someone tell me where I can get schematic of engine so I can ID origin of filter and replace? Thx.

Sounds like you are referring to the the air intake pipe. Is it a big bore black plastic corrugated pipe?
If so, it is the intake pipe from the air filter housing to the engine.
