Default Insearch of RS4

I am new to Audi. My experiences have been with some other marques but the RS4 has always been a car that I have loved.

My next project is to research the viability of importing the RS4 from Europe and making it US legal. Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

These cars can be bought all day out of Germany and Italy for 30-40K USD...I can't imagine there are many safety and emmission issues...so it should be rather straight forward.
I was just hoping to find someone else who may have done it already.
I have federized a Ferrari 360 and it was a piece of cake.

There was one on ebay a few months back. It was going for closer to 70-80k. That is a very limited edition car, there's no way you'll get one for 30k.

I have to agree with you on the price. I've just got myself an Audi S4 4.2 - 6 months old for £38k - $67k. RS4's are like hen's teeth and cost the same for a 3-4 year old one. Anyway, don't want to rain on your parade mate but gotta be realistic with your dosh.

I went on yahoo germany and ran a search for RS4 cars for sale....and that's what came up. Maybe they are calling 2 different models RS4's, but I can't believe that is the case.

Try going to yahoo Germany and see what happens. I had to run a translation program for the ads...but when translated they read out like the specs on an RS4.....380hp, bi-turbo V6, etc. The prices were generally 30K Euros to 45K Euros, and most were offered by dealers. Check it out...maybe we can do a group buy!!

I just ran another search on yahoo Germany and the ones that came up this time are in in the mid 50's Euros.....So that's around $60K US...which is more than I wanted to spend...but the RS4 is such a cool car that I think that it would be worth it.

I realize you are probably going for the real thing because of it's history, but if you are just looking for a fast car it would be much more worth your while to get an S4 and dump all the same (or better) components into for much cheaper than even a cheaper $60k model.

I do want the original. I think that there was something special about the RS4. I just spoke with a dealer in the UK that has an '01 w/50K miles, all books, records, no paint or body work for $40KUSD, and there were several available that were left hand drive in that price range. I think that represents alot of car for the money.

wow, that is a hell of a deal. Something doesn't seem right about that.
