Default Issues with electrical system

Hei,

I have a Audi A3 2004 model 1.9 TDI

Recently I have a couple of odd issues with it.

There are mainly 2 I've noticed so far.

* When removing the key from the starter, leaving the lights on, an alarm will sound as a reminder that lights must be turned off. This alarm doesn't sound anymore.

* The passenger door (this is the 3 door version), hood and backdoor is displayed in the dashboard if either are open. For my door it doesn't show if it's open anymore. This also worked before.

Anyone who has any idea what this could be?

Regards,
Geir

Check to see if the stereo goes out when the key is removed. If it doesn't then you have a faulty ignition switch (s contact), which would explain the buzzer not working also.
Regarding the door open indicator not working, this is normally a signal taken from the drivers door lock unit itself ( an internal switch which is part of the lock). So I would say the lock is faulty.

There is a remote possibility (if the stereo does switch off) that the dash itself is faulty, giving you both faults, without deeper investigation with a diagnosis machine, I couldn't say for sure.
