Default Juddering when cold

I have an A4 Avant with a 2.0 TDi 140 - if the car has been parked for 3 hours plus, and I start the engine and drive away, for the first 5 mins of my journey, if I pull away from ststionary, sometimes the cars judders (as if it is going to stall). You can normally over compensate with the revs, but was wondering whether this is normal?

Any warning lights come on? EPC warning or traction control warning?

If you're under warranty let the dealer handle it, otherwise
have the codes read.

What do you do when there are no error codes when read?

Usually a hidden code will be there.

When the dealer says that there is no error code does that mean he doesn't know how to retrieve hidden codes?

The dealer should know how to retrieve all codes.
My E-bay code reader gets the hidden codes.
